Moving On Accommodation:

It is the policy of Renewal that no resident leaves without finding suitable accommodation.   Shanakiel accommodates women leaving Renewal who have had difficulties finding suitable accommodation and who also may need additional time to adapt to independent living. 

In 2002, when residents of Renewal were experiencing difficulty in obtaining suitable independent living accommodation in Cork City, the Company purchased another property in the local Shanakiel area.  A loan was obtained to secure the purchase of this house.  A Capital Assistance Grant was received from the Department of the Environment in December 2003.
