Welcome to our new and improved website which was launched on Friday 2nd December 2011.

The website encompasses three centres within the one company, Tabor Lodge Addiction & Housing Services Ltd. The three centres are Tabor Lodge – Primary Residential Treatment Centre, Fellowship House Men’s Residence – Secondary Residential Treatment Centre and Renewal Women’s Residence – Secondary Residential Treatment Centre.

The new website aims to provide as much information as possible to people in need of help while in the comfort of their own homes.

It is hoped that our website will help to create greater awareness of addiction being a real problem in Ireland as we move into 2012.

Tabor Lodge Addiction & Housing Services present to the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Health & Children, Tues 24th Oct 2011

On Tuesday 24th October 2011, representatives from Tabor Lodge Addiction & Housing Services Ltd travelled to Leinster House to present to an Oireachtas Joint Committee on Health and Children. The representatives were Pat Coughlan (Chairman of Board of Management of Tabor Lodge Addiction & Housing Services), Mary Coughlan, Aileen O’ Neill (General Manager of Tabor Lodge Addiction & Housing Services), Mick Devine (Clinical Director of Tabor Lodge), Finbarr Cassidy (Treatment Manager of Fellowship House Men’s Residence) and Eileen Crosbie (Treatment Manager of Renewal Women’s Residence).

The Joint Committee was chaired by Jerry Buttimer TD and presentations were given by Mick Devine, Finbarr Cassidy and Eileen Crosbie. All outlined the role of the three centres and stressed the importance of these services moving on into the future.

Annual Seminar – Friday 18th November 2011

Tabor Lodge Addiction & Housing Services held their Annual Seminar at Carrigaline Court Hotel on Friday 18th November 2011. It was a very successful day with over 100 people in attendance. The Guest Speaker of the day was Dr. Colm O’ Connor, a Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist and author of the recent best seller ‘The Courage to be Happy’.

Dr.O’Connor is the Clinical Director of the Cork Marriage Counselling Centre and founder of the Cork Domestic Violence Project and the Association of Agency Based Counselling in Ireland in 2008.

The Opening Address on the day was given by Lord Mayor of Cork County, Cllr. Tim Lombard.

The Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Terry Shannon visited Tabor Lodge Addiction & Housing Services recently and greeted the staff and the patients on the day.

Retirement Party – Friday 14th October 2011

The retirement took place recently of three very dedicated members of staff at Tabor Lodge. Finbarr Collins retired from his work on Grounds Maintenance, Mary O’ Donoghue retired from her work as an Addiction Counsellor and Mary O’ Shea retired from her work as Night Nurse.
