About Us: Tabor Lodge is a treatment centre catering for persons with alcohol, drug, gambling, food and other addictions. It is situated 15 miles South West of Cork City, Ireland. Its woodlands and verdant pastures overlook the Atlantic near Kinsale. The setting makes Tabor Lodge a haven of peace and tranquility. Tabor Lodge has accommodation for 18 persons - men and women - in a drug free environment. The minimum age for admission is 18 years. Tabor Lodge was established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1989 and provides a 28 day residential programme based on the Hazelden Minnesota model of treatment. The goals of the programme are abstinence and improved lifestyle. These are accompanied through a programme of daily living activities, group and individual counseling and education. Following completion of the residential period, a Continuing Care programme is arranged for each person. Spouses and partners are also encouraged to attend the Continuing Care meetings.
